A company; which is active in ULUTEK which is acting as a research and development center under Uludağ Univercity, set aside the obstacles that are faced by the handicapted population in public transport vehicles as well as in passanger vehicles.
New projects in this field are being presented in an organised exhibition under Ulutek of Uludağ Univercity.
Teknova Co. Ltd. ; under the roof of ULUTEK , had presented its solutions for the accessability of the handicapted populations.
The general manager of Teknova Co. Ltd.; Mr. Kurtuldu, talked to the reporter of Cihan News Agency, he declared that they have been working under ULUTEK since 2009 and they have been active in the field of serie alteration projects of vehicles. Lately the obstacles that are faced by the handicapted population are in agenda of Turkiye and fort hat we have modified 9 & 12 m. currently operated public transport buses for handicapt accessebility in Bursa firms. We have prepared test vehicles and obtained the necessary serie alteration certifications for these vehicle brands and types.
Mr. Kurtuldu stated that these alteration Works have been taken one more step forward and such alterations applied on private passenger cars. He says these kind of Works are social responsibility projects; so a vehicle with a pull & push lever for excelaration and brake pedal was prepared for a person who has no legs … the modification of the vehicle is completed and it is being used in trafic.
In addition, Mr. Kurtuldu stated that they are searching for products of handicapt accessebility outside of Turkiye which may be manufactured in our country. We are planning to become the agent of such products he says, and may be after agreeing with the main supllier, we can produce them im similar quality at lower cost which may brake our dependency on the foreign markets.
